For the last 2 years we have taken a fall trip to Disney World. At four and two the girls can only handle a few days of fun, so this year we went for two days to Magic Kingdom. We also were able to go the same weekend as the Popovich's. The fun started with dinner at T-Rex at Downtown Disney. The next day we headed to Magic Kingdom. Abigail had all of the fond memories from the year before and was so excited to see all of the character's again, especially Rapunzel. Lydia is now old enough to enjoy the whole experience and she couldn't wait to meet Mickey Mouse. She actually hugged the first Mickey Mouse she saw which just happened to be on a T-Shirt. Both of the girls had their favorite rides. Abigail loved "It's a Small World" and Lydia loved "Dumbo the Flying Elephant" (or in her words, blue elephant). The first day we were at Magic Kingdom there was a street party parade and Abigail got to dance with Donald Duck. He took her hand and had her conga with the rest of the Disney characters. Lydia was so confused why she didn't get to dance with Goofy since Abigail got to dance with Donald. In keeping with tradition, the girls each got to enjoy Mickey Mouse ears ice cream and Justin and I indulged in a Dole pineapple float. The second day, they lit up the castle with Christmas lights for the first time this holiday season. So neat! The girls loved watching. Then we stayed for the fireworks. Afterwards, we didn't even make it down Main Street before both of the girls were snoozing. We were all tired, but we had so much fun.
Watching Mom, Abigail, Torrey and Brady.
Abigail was ready to go until the first bump and jerk, and she decided that she wanted me to drive.
What a pair.
We waited an hour for this shot. Abigail might have been star struck.
Riding the Teacup Ride. Justin decided to pass.
Friends.
Two girls that love their daddy!
High fives at the parade.
One happy girl!
Lydia waiting to meet Mickey and Minnie Mouse.
We just watched "The Sword in the Stone." Abigail, Lydia and Brady gave it their best, but they did not pull the sword from the stone. Justin and Jay thought they should give it a shot too. No luck.
